Postnatal Care
The weeks following childbirth are a time of healing, adjustment, and new beginnings. While much of the attention naturally shifts to your baby, your own physical and emotional well-being is just as important. Postnatal care helps ensure you're recovering well, adjusting to motherhood, and receiving the support you need during this important phase.
What Does Postnatal Care Include?
Your body continues to heal long after delivery. Regular postnatal check-ups help follow your recovery, assess healing, manage pain or discomfort while supporting your overall physical and emotional well-being. If you had a high-risk pregnancy or developed a medical condition during pregnancy, continued monitoring may be needed after delivery, including conditions such as diabetes, blood pressure or other health concerns. These visits also provide an opportunity to discuss contraception based on your individual needs and ensure continued care as you adjust to life after childbirth.

Breastfeeding is a learning journey for both mother and baby. Whether you're facing challenges with latching, milk supply, feeding positions, or simply need reassurance, Dr. Dhwany Munshi provides practical guidance and support to help make breastfeeding a more comfortable and positive experience.
Breastfeeding & Lactation Support
Postpartum haemorrhage refers to heavier-than-expected bleeding after childbirth and can require prompt medical attention. It may occur immediately after delivery or during the early postpartum period. Appropriate assessment and timely treatment are important to identify the cause of bleeding, support recovery, and protect the mother's health.

The emotional changes after childbirth can be significant, and some women may experience persistent sadness, anxiety, loss of interest or difficulty coping with daily life. A consultation provides a safe space to talk about how you’re feeling, recognise concerns early, and receive the right support and treatment when you need it.
