Minimally Invasive Gynaecology
Advanced Surgical Care with a Faster Recovery

Minimally Invasive Gynaecology
Not all gynaecological conditions require traditional open surgery. Advances in minimally invasive techniques now allow many procedures to be performed through smaller incisions, resulting in less pain, reduced scarring, shorter hospital stays and a quicker recovery.
Dr. Dhwany Munshi offers minimally invasive surgical care for a range of gynaecological conditions, using evidence-based techniques to ensure safe treatment while helping you return to your daily routine as comfortably as possible.
What Does Minimally Invasive Gynaecology Include?
Laparoscopic surgery, also known as keyhole surgery, is a minimally invasive procedure performed through small incisions using a specialised camera and surgical instruments. It is commonly used to diagnose and treat various gynaecological conditions while reducing postoperative discomfort and promoting faster healing.

When fibroids cause symptoms such as heavy bleeding, pelvic pain, or fertility concerns, surgical treatment may be recommended. Depending on the size, number and location of the fibroids, minimally invasive surgical techniques may be used to remove them while preserving the uterus whenever appropriate.

Most ovarian cysts are harmless and resolve on their own, but some may require surgical treatment if they are large, persistent, painful, or suspicious in appearance. Dr. Dhwany Munshi carefully evaluates each case to determine whether monitoring or minimally invasive surgery is the most suitable approach.

For women with moderate to severe endometriosis or symptoms that do not improve with medication, laparoscopic surgery may help remove endometriosis tissue, relieve pain and improve fertility outcomes where appropriate. Every treatment plan is personalised based on the severity of the condition and your future reproductive goals.
Endometriosis Surgery
Hysteroscopy allows the inside of the uterus to be examined using a thin camera passed through the vagina and cervix, without abdominal incisions. It can be used to investigate or treat problems such as abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine polyps, some types of fibroids and other abnormalities within the uterine cavity. Depending on the procedure, hysteroscopy may be performed as a diagnostic examination or as a treatment.
